Well folks, it looks like it’s time. There’s a post on the official forums that has the following line in it:

“We will be performing extended maintenance on Tuesday, October 12th. Maintenance will begin at 12:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 12:00 PM PDT”

Sounds an awful lot like a patch is coming, huh? And really, is there anyone out there that’s been playing Warcraft for a while who doesn’t honestly add a few extra hours onto the estimated up-time at this point? (I have a suspicion even the people on the official forums screaming for blood and rebates because “OMG I PAY FOR THE GAME NOT DOWNTIME BLIZZ!!!” honestly know it’ll probably go past the scheduled time).

Of course, with the patch comes a “free” respec as the entire talent tree system is revamped. Ponykeg’s been dual specced for a while, Beastmaster for fun/leveling and Survival for randoms and the occasional raid. The question will be, what to spec once the patch hits. Decisions, decisions….

At least I’ll have time to think about it tonight as I bounce from character to character. You see, I hate the thought of having things in the mail when a big downtime hits. So tonight… look for the hunter frantically scurrying from the mailbox to the bank. That’ll be me!
